Appointment of Curriculum Developers for Psychiatric Nursing Program

I am pleased to announce the appointments of Helen Timm, Wascana Campus and Linda Rabyj, Kelsey Campus, as curriculum developers for the psychiatric nursing program. Both Helen and Linda are experienced faculty who have worked in the former psychiatric nursing program and have been involved in NEPS since 1996. Both are strong advocates for mental health nursing. Their leadership skills in acute care and community experiences will provide invaluable input into the new psychiatric nursing curriculum. Helen and Linda will work .75 as curriculum developers and will work .25 in the NEPS as part of a combined assignment.

Also, Margo Rosinski has been hired as the support for the program. Margo brings a wealth of experience from a number of programs at SIAST, including 10 years experience with the Testing Centre.

Linda will remain at Kelsey Campus while Margo, Helen and I will be located in Rm. 119.4 Wascana Campus.

The 2007-2008 year is designated as curriculum development with the first intake of this program to be delivered in September 2008. The intake numbers have been increased to 30 seats from its original 14 that was announced in March 2007.
