This is a statement of the Standards of Psychiatric Nursing Practice for Registered Psychiatric Nurses in Saskatchewan. It is based on Standards of Psychiatric Nursing Practice developed by the Psychiatric Nurses Association of Canada in conjunction with the various provincial Associations.

Standards of Psychiatric Nursing Practice may be used by individual nurses, nursing groups, nursing programs and health institutions to guide teaching and practice for better psychiatric nursing care. As well, these Standards may be used to guide research for the professional growth of Registered Psychiatric Nursing.
