Psychiatric Nursing Re-entry Program SIAST Nursing Division

The Psychiatric Nursing Re-entry Program is for you if you:

• were previously registered in Canada and are eligible for re-registration in Saskatchewan Manitoba, Alberta, or British Columbia;
• are currently registered and want to update and evaluate your knowledge and skills;
• have not been registered in Canada and want to prepare to write registration exams.

You will be provided with the knowledge and skills to reach competencies require for a beginning student.

Please note that if you have not held an active practicing license in the previous ten years you will be require to re-write the RPNAS Registration Examination

Admission Requirements

• Letter of recommendation from the psychiatric nurses licensing body in the province where you will participate in the clinical experience and in which you want to be registered;
• Current CPR Level "C" (BLS Level "C")Certificate before commencing the clinical portion of the program;
• Medical fitness including current immunization prior to participating in the clinical experience.
