Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Partnering with People
March 12, 2018
For Immediate Release
Following the passing of Robert Allen in 2016, Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan Council has been in the selection process for over one year.
We are pleased to welcome our new Executive Director, Beverly Balaski. She brings excellent strategies to move our profession forward. Among her many accomplishments, Balaski brings an experience in direct care and extensive knowledge in self-regulatory practice and policy development.
RPNAS seeks to stimulate and guide the continuing development of the psychiatric nursing profession and enhance public awareness of the specialized contribution of Registered Psychiatric Nurses in health care and other related fields.
Balaski states: “I am very excited and dedicated to the work needed to support Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan to meet its current and future goals. Registered Psychiatric Nurses are present in so many care areas they play a key role in leading initiatives to address mental wellness. They are in the ideal position to provide holistic complex care to support the most vulnerable people.”
Ms. Balaski commenced her duties on March 5, 2018.
Council would like to thank Candace Alston for her role as interim Executive Director and registrar with RPNAS. She has been tireless in her leadership and commitment to the profession.
