Registered Psychiatric Nurse of Canada Examination (RPNCE) Postponement

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rapidly evolve, the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Regulators of Canada have been working with its high stakes examination provider, Yardstick Assessment Strategies (YAS), to ensure we are following the advice of health experts and governments. We take the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, candidates, and all stakeholders seriously.

Based on the various directives for adherence to social distancing measures, we have made the decision to postpone the upcoming January 2021 Registered Psychiatric Nurse of Canada Examination (RPNCE). This decision was not taken lightly, however, we feel it is an important step to protect the health and safety of everyone involved.

We have tentatively rescheduled the January 20, 2021 exam to March 10, 2021. Your current RPNC exam registration will be automatically transferred to the new exam date. Additional details and information will be provided in the upcoming weeks as we progress through this current pandemic. Please provide your manager/supervisor with plenty of notice and work with them to ensure you obtain time off for this important exam.
